Key Objectives
- To preserve, promote and share sanatan culture and values in Australia
- Arrange for and organise and hold religious ceremonies for members of the public.
- Promote the understanding and knowledge of South Asian philosophies and culture within the community, including by setting up workshops and public discourses by spiritual heads and leaders concerning Hinduism and South Asian culture.
- Organise educational classes, study groups, seminars and other related activities for promotion of South Asian culture and Hinduism, including but not limited to Sanskrit language classes, Hindu scripture classes, music lessons and religious classes for children.
- Organise and promote health workshops and classes, including but not limited to raising awareness of health issues affecting members of community, yoga and meditation lessons.
- Undertake charitable activities to support vulnerable and disadvantaged people of communities within Australia, including but not limited to hosting free community meals and volunteering initiatives led or supported by its members.
- Promote the religious, social and moral well-being of its members and for the benefit of the community in general, including but not limited to creating networking events and services for the elderly.
- Foster inter-religious harmony, mutual understanding and respect for religious views of others, including but not limited to fostering opportunities for new migrants in Australia to integrate and get involved within the wider community.
- Raise funds for the establishment of the Temple.
- Co-operate with other cultural, religious and charitable bodies in promoting the aims of the association.
- Promote and make known the cultural background and heritage of persons of Hindu faith for the benefit of the community in general.
